Can we use customer supplied parts?

No.  We are unable to offer a warranty for parts supplied by customers. This policy is in place because our 6-month defect-free warranty applies specifically to OEM parts that we use.

  • Don't put it into rice. Rice will dry out the device and that's not going to help with the corrosion. Corrosion sets in when the device dries, and eats through circuits and wires. 
  • Don't plug it in to charge.
  • Don't turn it on (if it's off).
  • Do turn it off (if it's on).
  • Do bring it to us as soon as possible for a free diagnosis. Time is not on your side when your device is wet!


The rice definitely didn't have anything to do with your iPhone continuing to function. This is what we in the biz call a 'fluke'.


You probably broke the LCD, which is part of the digitizer (screen). You will just need to replace the screen. 


Any device that is less than 1 year old must be taken to Apple for repair. If a 3rd party repairs the device, the 1-year limited Apple warranty that is automatically applied by Apple for each purchase is void.

There are a few causes for this problem, and the most common one is that the hard drive is failing. We can help with data recovery and a new hard drive installation. Contact us or bring your machine in, and we can go over your options.

We use OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts that are high quality and built to last. Defective parts are a total drag! 


Some parts are more expensive for us to buy, and therefore we charge more for those repairs. When parts prices decrease, we adjust our pricing accordingly.
